IWC foundation is committed to providing basic education and healthcare to underprivileged children. IWC Foundation believes that whether you are addressing healthcare, poverty, population control, unemployment or human rights, there's no better place to start than in the corridors of education.

Education is both the means as well as the end to a better life; means, because it empowers an individual to earn his/her livelihood and the end because it increases one's awareness on a range of issues - from healthcare to appropriate social behavior to understanding one's rights, and in the process evolve as a better citizen.

IWC Foundation's educational initiatives include Pre-school (3-6 yrs), Non Formal Education (6-14 yrs non-school going), Remedial Education (6-14 yrs school going) and Bridge Course (14-18 yrs drop-outs). It works for education for needy children who are under difficult circumstances, such as child labour, children of poorest of the parents, children inflicted and affected with HIV/AIDS, street and runaway children, children with rare disabilities, disaster struck children and slum children. Special emphasis is given on girl education and women education, so that they and their families get empowered.

Since its inception in 2002, more than 10,000 children have directly benefitted from the various IWC foundation Education programme.

Teachers Training on Constructivism and Advance Mathematics

No. of Participants in program: - 40 Teachers of 12 Zilla Parishad Schools of Khaling cluster and Aadarsh Vidyalay

Objectives of the Activity:
1. To enhance the teaching methods in the schools by implementing constructivism theory.
2. To minimize the percentage of Unprogressive students of Mathematics in community school.

Science Day Exposure Visit - Nehru Planetarium & Science Center

No. of Participants in program: 585 students, 28 teachers from 8 schools had participated.

Objectives of the Activity:
1. Enhanced Science teaching in the community schools.
2. Developed students power of balancing and interpreting evidence

Innovative Science Exhibition:

To provide opportunity to the talented or creative students for the nourishing and nurturing of their creative talents.

To encourage interest in the students for science and thus may help in making the study of science a joy in itself.

Target Group: Students of Zilla Parishad School.

Member of Legislative Assembly of Bhiwandi inaugurated the Science exhibition on Saturday 24th Dec 2016. The exhibition showcases 16 science models that were prepared by the 11 schools which come under the cluster head of Pimpalghar Kendra (Saravali). The exhibition organized was a part of educational support and encouragement and enhancement of science teaching in the community schools of BOM1 project. Major attraction of the exhibition was air purifier prepared by waste material which helps to purify air of a 100 Sq.ft room prepared by Saravalipada School, a model village whose electricity is fully runs on wind mill which was prepared and demonstrated Ranjnoli School, a digital projector model that simplifies its working prepared by Sonale school. Other models were; working of wind mill, Magnetic DC motor, Solar System, water pressure, electricity generation through waste material, water harvesting etc.

Saravlipada school won the 1st Prize, Ranjnoli school won the 2nd prize and Sonale school won the 3rd prize. The prize will be distributed in the interschool competition event that will be conducted on 10th Jan 2017.

Interschool Competition "Indradhanu 2017"

No. of Participants in program: 45 Teachers,692 Students from 11 Schools, 1Cluster head, 102 parents of school students.

Objectives of the Activity:

To facilitate children physical activities and enhance their ability of Co-ordination.

To help children build up self-esteem, self-confidence, a sense of achievement and an optimistic attitude towards life.

To Simulate Children's creative and Imaginative powers, and encourage them to enjoy participating in creative work.

Diversified art activities such as music, dance, quiz and visual art can cultivate children's aesthetic, sensitivity, imagination and creativity through art children can express their emotions and feelings, and appreciate good things of life.

To provide children a platform to show their talent to the world.

Students Melava.

Objectives of the Activity:

Articulate the knowledge and skills students to acquire by the end of the life skill and adolescent health and nutrition course.

Allow the trainers, Teachers and parents to check the degree to which the students are meeting the learning objectives.

Target Group: 5 Zilla Parishad Schools of community.

Detailed Activity: Day- Monday Date - 20th Feb 2017 Venue - Zilla Parishad School, Ranjnoli Village, Bhiwandi

No. of Participants in program: 22 Teacher & 613 Students of 5 Zilla Parishad Schools.
A student's meet program was held at Ranjnoli Zilla Parishad School on 20th February 2017. The theme of the program was "Student Melava". The chief guest of the program was Mrs. Priya Patil - Cluster head of Pimpalghar Zilla Parishad schools in her speech during the ceremonial program she praised the students and trainers for their hard work to make this program a big success, She also thanked Amazon cares for giving students and teachers the opportunity to undergo Life skills and Adolescent health and nutrition program, in her speech she also added that the road safety program that was conducted by the Amazon employees during road safety week was truly a knowledgeable program and through which the students got all the information about road safety.
The "Student Melava" had six stalls which included Adolescent health & Nutrition, Life skills, Gender Sensitization, Body mapping and road Safety. All the stalls were prepared and decorated by card sheet papers and other IEC material that students prepared during life skill and Adolescent health and nutrition.
